I decided to start this blog was to keep family and friendsupdated on the adoption of our second little girl from China.
For those of you who are familiar with the process; the abbreviations, timeline, etc. will make perfect sense to you.
For those of you NOT familiar... I will try to simplify this
process as much as possible.
Here goes: WE ARE STILL WAITING !
We sent our paperwork to China in July 2008 (LID 7-17-08).
Submitted Medical Conditions Checklist (MCC) February 2009. Decide to pursue adoption of Special Needs (SN) little girl. This checklist tells our adoption agecy, CCAI, which medical conditions we feel comfortable with. Our agency can now "LOOK" for a child that matches our MCC on a special list of children available for SN adoption.
Here's the catch....
there are a LOT of other families ahead of us who happen to feel comfortable with the same MCC.
Imagine that!!
Take it from a "former wait-er...for adoption from China"...it's a unique ballgame in and of itself. Talk about needing to totally hear from the Lord & learning how to trust Him explicitly to get you through the daily/monthly ups and downs...whew! The story that stayed in my mind continuously through-out the waiting process was the one where Jesus told His disciples to get in the boat and said, "We goin' to the other side" (of the water). Everyone did as directed, but a life threatening storm arose. It was a trying time. It was a hard time, yet Jesus was in the boat ASLEEP - at peace -- knowing in His heart the Words he said would come to pass. Once He spoke THE WORD, "We're goin' to the other side...." that was it. Case closed. Whatever the circumstances may appear to be, choose the Word & follow hard after peace. Choose faith --believing to have what you do not yet see manifest with your eyes, and keep foremost in your heart, "I'm goin' to the other side!"
